Electromagnetic heaters can be applied in the plastic machinery industry, especially in the heating process of plastic processing equipment such as plastic granulators, injection molding machines, and extruders. Compared to traditional electric heaters or other heating methods, electromagnetic heaters have unique advantages in heating plastic barrels, mold heads, and non-ferrous alloy molds.

To make an electromagnetic heating coil for a plastic granulator, it is necessary to master the following steps:

Design the size and parameters of the heating coil. Firstly, it is necessary to determine the outer diameter, inner diameter, number of wires, wire size, wire material and other parameters of the heating coil, which determine the electrical characteristics of the heating coil, such as resistance value, current, and voltage. Usually, computer-aided design software can be used for calculation and design.

Select the appropriate wire material. The commonly used wire materials in heating coils include copper wire, aluminum wire, nickel chromium alloy wire, etc., and suitable wire materials need to be selected based on specific heating requirements and electrical characteristics.

Wrap the coil. The selected wire material can be wound into a heating coil according to the design requirements, which can be manually or mechanically wound. When winding, attention should be paid to the winding direction of the wire to ensure the continuity and correctness of the winding.

Connect the coil. Weld or connect the wound heating coil to the circuit board so that it can be connected to the power supply and controller. When connecting, it is necessary to pay attention to the contact and electrical insulation of the wires to avoid safety issues such as short circuits and leakage.

Perform insulation treatment properly. Insulate the connected heating coil to ensure that it does not interact with surrounding electrical appliances or materials during operation, thereby avoiding accidents.

It should be noted that when making heating coils, they should be strictly operated in accordance with relevant safety and quality standards to ensure their safety, reliability, and stability. At the same time, it is necessary to follow the instructions and requirements in the user manual during use to avoid unnecessary losses and risks.
